And So It Begins...
Yes folks the time has come to get this puppy off the ground, the wild thing must run free and in case you don’t know what the heck I'm talking about, well … I'm talking about this blog. I have been threatening my co-workers for some time to start a blog to talk about a number of computer related topics, mostly Network Identity and Security related issues, and they all basically said, "…sure Rick go ahead, if you build it we will come".
I guess we'll see if I get any help, but I thought it would be a grand idea to at least get things up and running so they can't whine about not having any place to post the pearls of wisdom that I'm sure will soon be flowing like the mighty waters of the BrahmaPutra.
The real reason for this little project, besides using it as a home page for all things Identity, security and what not is to create a home for all of the things that I discover in the course of my work. I have struggled for too long trying to keep all of this information sorted and cataloged on servers and hard drives. Let me give you an example, I was working on a procedure for replicating ADAM partitions and configuring DNS so that it would be easy to redirect requests if the server hosting the primary partition failed. So I'm going to post that over the next few days. That way I can find it when I need it and it might be useful to someone else out there who is looking for some ideas.
I know, exciting stuff right? Well I wish someone else had done it so I didn't have to slog thought it myself [grin]. Anyway that is the mission of this blog, stay tuned…
